Troop Meeting
The activity for the evening was a Scout skills Olympics. The team lead by Kyle McClintick took 1st place.
Campout
This Friday night and Saturday morning we will be having a cookout and overnight at Camp Dan Beard, 200 Portwine (just south of Lake Cook) in Northbrook. Arrival at Camp Dan Beard begins at 5:00pm, with dinner scheduled for 6:30pm. For those leaving Friday night, pickup is at 9:30pm. Pickup on Saturday morning is between 11:15 & 11:30am. Permission slips and money are due to Mr. Zimmerman by Thursday afternoon. If you are not First Class, remember to bring your Scout Handbook. Class B shirts are in order.
Next Meeting
For those who are working on American Business merit badge, bring your three products packages for discussion. Also, there will be Boards of Review for those who have contacted Mr. Vanderhulst - Class A uniforms.

* Citizenship in the Community merit badge will meet for the last time on Wednesday, October 14th prior to the regular meeting at 7:00pm.
* The Troop Committee will meet next Wednesday at 7:30pm at St. Gregory's. All adults are welcome.
* There will be a PLC meeting this Sunday, 4:00pm at St. Gregory's.
* Upcoming campouts
- Oct 17 & 18, Geocaching at Camp Lakota in Woodstock. Permission slips and money needed next meeting.
- Nov 6-8 - Starved Rock
* Merit Badge day at Great Lakes Naval Base, Saturday, Nov 14. Merit badges preferences need to get to Mr. Zimmerman, zimmgold@comcast.net by this Sunday night. Merit badges offered: Architecture, Cinematography, Climbing, Composite Materials, Computers, Dentistry, Electricity, Electronics, Engineering, Fingerprinting, First Aid, Journalism, Crime Prevention, Medicine, Music, Personal Fitness, Photography and Swimming. Please indicate your first three choices.
* Reminder to Scouts working on American Business to track their stocks.
* Another reminder to Scouts who are not First Class to bring their Boy Scout Handbook to every meeting.

Wednesday, January 27
- We finished preparing for the Klondike Derby, which is this Saturday. Boys need to be at the church at 6:30am
- We welcomed many Webelos guests and their parents. The Webelos learned how to pitch tents, while the parents atttended an information session.
- The sign-up for the Dark Cabin in the Wood overnight, Feb 13 is posted. We need adult leadership help for the outing.
- Patrol leader elections will take place after the Court of Honor next Wednesday. Also anyone interested in a leadership position should contact Nathan.
- Advancement: Griffen Norwesh and Peter Nupomuceno became 1st Class and Ben Richards became Life.
- Spencer's Eagle Court of Honor is Sunday, Feb 7 at 2:30. Everyone is invited. Class A.
- At the Court of Honor we have the Friends of Scouting presentation and a presentation on Makajawan. Nathan will send out refreshment assignments for the Court of Honor. Class A including sashes. |

February 17th
Meeting Notes:
During the meeting we cleaned out one of the closets and may continue it next week. We also held OA elections. The results of the election will be revealed at the OA ceremony at Makajawan.
Round-Up Notes:
-Thanks to the Scouts and the adult helpers for helping at the Cabin in the deep woods
-There are new leadership positions available, see Nathan if one interests you

-Mr. Anderson is going to be gracious enough to be the counselor for the “Communications Merit Badge” witch is eagle required (More info soon)
