Take Rt. 41 north which turns into I-94 north. Exit Wisconsin County C and go west. Turn south on County B. Turn east into camp.

CAMP  Dan  Beard - Wheeling, Illinois

4 miles west of Deerfield on Portwine Road, south of Lake Cook Road and north of Dundee Road.

DESCRIPTION Approximately 80 acres of wooded and open land (two grassy fields)

FACILITIES

BAITY CABIN Sleeps 20. bunk beds, no mattresses, forced air furnace, wood burning fireplace, counters, tables and benches and 2 electrical outlets.

CAMP Oakarro - Wadsworth, Illinois

Take 294 Tollway North to 173 - Rosecrans Rd. Turn Rt. (East) go 2/3 or a mile and go Rt (South) on Mill Creek Road. Go about a mile to the camp on the left .

DESCRIPTION Approximately 40 acres of wooded and open lands, several ponds. Cleared camp sites and hiking trails.

Apple River Canyon State Park

Apple River Canyon State Park is located 2 ½ hours west of Chicago. Take I-90 West to US Rt. 20 located by Rockford. Take US Rt. 20 West for approximately 50 miles to Rt. 78 North. Turn right onto Rt. 78, go 6 miles to Canyon Road. Take a left on Canyon Road. The park is well signed on Rt. 20 and Rt. 78.

Apple River Canyon State Park is in the hilly northwest art of Illinois in Jo Daviess County near the Wisconsin border. This scenic canyon area was formed by the action of the winding waters of Apple River.  Limestone bluffs, deep ravines, springs, streams and wildlife characterize this area which was once a part of a vast sea bottom that stretched from the Alleghenies to the Rockies.


Camp Lakota - Woodstock

Take Route 14 (Northwest Highway) through Barrington, Fox River Grove, Cary, Crystal Lake and Woodstock. Continue past Highway 47 approximately 8 miles to Deep Cut Road. Watch for brown sign to "BSA Camp Lakota". Turn right on Deep Cut Road approximately 3/4 mile to Camp Lakota on right.

Take I-90 (Northwest Tollway) to Route 47 (2nd exit past Elgin Toll Plaza). Take Route 47 North approximately 12 miles to Route 14. Turn Left (West) on Route 14 and follow directions above.

This is the fastest but a bit more complicated. Take Milwaukee N to Aptikisic and go West to the end which is 83. Go North (R) to Gilmer Road (fork to the left) and go 17 miles to Rt. 120 and go left (W). You will be by the Volo car museum. Continue West about 7 miles. Stay to the right and 120 turns into Charles Road. Go about 4 miles and Turn Left on Nelson which turns into Deepcut Rd. Go 3 miles and the camp is on the left.
