Troop 50 will be attending summer camp at beautiful Camp Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan from July 6 - 12, 2008 . Think about spending time in the Northwoods of Wisconsin earning merit badges, making friends and just having fun. Adults are needed to chaperone the scouts so please think of possibly helping out for the week or part of the week. Any questions call Bill Babcock at 945-7546, Troop 50 Camp Coordinator.

Camp Costs 220.00 for the week plus 25.00 incidental charges. for a total of 245.00. Incidental charges pay for adult leaders, camp food snacks and troop service project material costs.
The bus cost is 45.00 each way.

Certain merit badges carry an extra fee. Horsemanship is 30.00 and other badges such as wood carving, basketry and leatherwork require you to purchase an inexpensive kit at the scout store so send your boys to camp with some spending money.

To hold your spot send a check for 50.00 per boy made out to Troop 50 to Bill by February 20th. The deposit is non-refundable but transferable. The balance of 195.00 is due by May 7th, 2008.

New boys joining the Troop and cross-over Webelos do not have to pay by February 20th. Their entire payment of $245.00 is due on May 7th along with everyone else’s remaining payment of $195.00.

Late fees imposed by the council are $30.00. No Exceptions!

There will be a Parent / Scout meeting at St. Gregory's on June 1st.

All forms and merit badge selections are due on June 15.

The first 2 chaperone's are free. Extras Parents are 100.00 / week.
If you (parent) come up for a day or two you must purchase meal tickets at the camp office when you arrive.

On June 15th All Medical Forms, Insurance Cards, Prescription Forms, Dietary Forms, and Final Merit Badge selections are due.

Camp is the quickest way to rank advancement. The whole camping experience is centered around earning merit badges and advancing from Scout to First Class.
